最速ローカルLLM導入まとめ

新しいPCを購入したのでローカルLLMを試したかった
買ったのは、 M5 チップ、32GBメモリの MacBook Pro 。今 Amazon を見てみると今は無いようだが、買ったのは 32GB ユニファイドメモリだ。
それで、かねてより興味のあったローカルLLMに入門してみることにした。やり方は、インターネットを普段見る中で試した内容をよく見ていたので、簡単にできるだろうと思っていた。
簡単にできた。
実際には、 Gemini とやりとりしながら導入のコマンドを教えてもらった形。それで、そのコマンドは古いのか最新なのかまでは裏をとっていない。もしかしたら最近はもっと違うやり方でインストールするのかもしれないが、よしとした。
ただ、少なくとも、AIモデルは少し古いのが感じ取れたので、やりとり続けて新しいモデルを出してもらって、後日インストールしている。10GB以上のサイズだけれども、ストレージも1TBもあるし、まだ開封したてのPCなので、気にせず気になったものをバンバン入れていこう。
後日ダウンロードしたAIモデルたち
まず、ダウンロード中に PC がスリープし、ダウンロードが中断された。これは困った。ちょっと調べて、
caffeinate
というコマンドで一時的にスリープしないようにできることがわかった。それ以上のことは何も調べていないので、本当にスリープ防止用のコマンドなのかどうかは知らないのだが、今執筆中に軽く調べてみたら、まさにぴったりなコマンドだった。
ターミナル新規タブを開いて caffeinate を実行してから、モデルをダウンロードしたところ、 PC のモニターは真っ黒になったが、ダウンロードは続いていたようだった。よしよし。

おわりに。開封した MacBook で真っ先にローカルLLMを入れたログ
PCを新しくしたので、まずやってみたかったローカルLLMを何もセットアップしない状態でまずやってみました。他になんのアプリも入っていません。なんかこういうの、面白いね。
ちなみに、本当は Gemma4 を Gemini CLI で動かしたかった。というのも、 どちらも Google 製だし、私は Gemini CLI をずっと使っていたからでした。
だがしかし、なんと Gemini CLI は廃止され、 Antigravity CLI へと移行されるようです。
だもんで、はじめて Claude Code を使ってみることにしました。今まで Gemini CLI を使っていたたのは無料枠が大きい(感じがする)からというだけだったので抵抗はありません。
以下、実際にローカルLLMとやりとりするまでのログを最後に残します。
